What we collect
Nothing. We don't run analytics on this website. No tracking pixels. No cookies that identify you. No third-party scripts watching what you click. When you load a page, our server logs the request because that's how the internet works — your IP, the file you asked for, the time. Those logs are kept for a few days to catch abuse, then they're deleted. We don't look at them unless something breaks.
If you email us
When you write to [email protected], we see what you send — your email address, your name if you put one, and whatever you wrote. We keep those emails so we can reply. We don't share them with anyone. We don't add you to a mailing list. We don't sell your address. If you want us to delete an old email from you, just ask and we will.
About Known (the device)
Known is a piece of hardware you own. It runs on your network. It talks to your router and nothing else. The DNS queries it watches stay on the device — in volatile memory that clears the moment you pull the power. Nothing leaves your network. We can't see your data because we have no way to receive it. There is no server on our end that your device reports to. If you don't believe that, read the firmware — it's open source.
Google Fonts
This website loads fonts from Google's servers. That's the only third-party request your browser makes here. Google might log your IP as part of serving the font files. We can't control that. If you don't want Google to see your IP, use a browser extension that blocks third-party fonts — the site still works fine without them.
What we don't do
We don't build profiles of visitors. We don't retarget you with ads. We don't use Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Hotjar, or any other surveillance tool. We don't store your browsing history. We don't fingerprint your device. If we ever add anything that changes this, we'll say it here in plain words before it goes live.
Your rights
Under GDPR (EU) and similar laws, you can ask us what data we hold about you. The honest answer is almost nothing. If you've emailed us, we have your email. That's it. You can ask us to delete it, correct it, or send you a copy. Email us at [email protected] and we'll do it within a reasonable time.

Changes to this page
If we change how we handle data, we update this page and bump the date at the top. We won't silently rewrite it. The last version is the one you're reading now.
